Since we like conspiracy theories:
Latest evolution of the 17-year-old baby daddy story is that she got knocked up by him and concocted this plan to get an abortion. Left the state and returned after the procedure.

There simply couldn't have been anything bad enough wrong with her that would have made her unresponsive, yet allowed her to be cleared and discharged in that timeframe.

Hoover will go hard, a buddy of mine is a detective there. They will at minimum make sure they're not accused of anything short of a stellar investigation.

The wife, who's still buying the kidnapping story, tells me that it is very savvy of the kidnappers to force her to remove any tracking devices ,such as phones and Apple watches, before the abduction.
