If this is what we all think that it is, then why would there be a shite storm?

I don’t believe parents knew at the start. And if they found out later (but before she came home) they are trying to protect her, most parents would. But them talking isn’t good. My guess is they respect their public name and don’t want it tarnished so are trying to fix that - all while daughter isn’t being honest. Time will tell.
My guess is that the parents didn’t know (or at least weren’t in on it, if there were indeed others involved). Could be wrong but that’s what my gut says.
Even if they suspected it was a hoax of some sort, I would expect any parent to be worried sick. If there’s a chance your kid has been abducted - or worse - and you have no way to verify, you’re going to panic and you’re going to want everyone to treat it as a true emergency.
If they now know or suspect it was a hoax, they are in a pretty tough position. They can either abandon their daughter to save their own image or they can go down (at least in the eyes of the public) with her. Neither of those options are good if you’re a parent.
Still, I’m a bit surprised that they would double down with the interviews and statements. If they weren’t involved in the hoax, you would think they’d be better off with a simple “we won’t comment while the investigation is ongoing.” Unless they think the added publicity will make charges less likely. Which is a possibility I suppose, but it could also go the other way.
I guess the TL;DR is - I can see how the parents might get boxed into protecting her even if they got duped like everyone else. But their doubling down certainly makes it harder to sympathize with them, at a minimum.

Did you miss the Summer of Peace in 2020? If they charge her the race agitators will arrive en masse.
They have already primed the pumps with all the mainstream media articles. Regardless of what really happened, she will always be the victim to many. If they charge her they will scream racism. Probably protest and march. Maybe tear some shite up. Hoover does not want to have to deal with that.

Would they also storm the red roof in and knock on doors without calling the police?

Yeah social media is flooded with black folks not buying this at all. And pissed they got drawn in and supported it

I heard a few minutes of a local black radio station, 94.9 maybe, today. They were roasting the mom and her statement this afternoon. They were legit offended by the being bullied and strings attached comments.

And social media is flooded with white women and social justice warriors that are still pushing the abduction/believe all women angle. And if you really think all blacks have turned against her; wait till it is her vs. the racist white cops and see who’s side they take.

Standing in road though? They would be in house is my guess yet when police showed up their report stated all the people standing in road. That part confused me. And late at night, its dark and past most bedtime (10:44pm). Again, doesn’t pass sniff test. But thats just my opinion
Have you been in any black neighborhoods?

I read a lot of the FB comments on her mother's latest horse shite. Most of the folks supporting this woman and her family are 50-year-old Karens. There are a few black folks tryna support the mother but most people are calling this woman out as a liar, and telling the mother to STFD.
They are divided along intelligence lines, not racial. Anybody that can tie their shoes knows that this ditchpig threw err'body in the trick bag. The slip-on folks are doing battle that she at least thought the fictional toddler was real.
I feel bad that the toddler didn't exist. He might have had some fun sometime.

Some internet todger claims that he is close to a family member and that the redheaded kidnapper was feeding her Cheese-its. Someone earlier kindly pointed out that if this was true, she never would have returned, as this is the same as her retirement plan.

So, let's say this was yall's child in this exact situation, what would you do? I think it's fair to say everyone would act as her parents did at the onset, even if you thought some of the details didn't add up, you're not going to have relief until you've laid eyes on your child. But how would you handle it once they returned home and the facts start adding up against your child, how would you handle it at this point?
Personally, I do not play when it comes to lying and deceiving. I'd eventually have to put together a very professional response, apologizing to all affected by the situation and how this is not what my household condones. I'd then say that my child will have to face the consequences of their actions and learn from them. My child would then have to address their actions and apologize as well. I'm not going to let my family's name get run through the mud, and especially not make it worse by playing along and trying to shield them from their own actions.
I say all this, but I realize it would be extremely tough handling it in the moment.

That was me and I was referring to someone saying Lizzo could play this woman in a movie.
Speaking of that, I really hope they make a Netflix documentary out of this. But will they if it puts a queen in a bad light?
