That’s why Hoover PD needs to eventually clear this thing up. If they just let it slide, people will not bat an eye at the next one

They really need to. There are tons of people out there emotionally invested in this story who’ve never seen the traffic cam video. They’ve never driven that part of 459 and don’t understand how thick the trees are or just how little room there is on the shoulder. Most don’t even know there is a neighborhood right against the tree line. These are things that when you fully understand you say “nope, no way. This is bullshite”.. and just to give you an idea of the area, the volunteers spent the day handing out flyers because as a family member put it “there’s no place to search”.

Carlee’s 911 call remains the only timely report of a child on the interstate.

I can't take credit for calling this hoax out.

But I did ask my wife how they got the toddler to listen to directions in such a high risk area.

I mean, I can't get my two year old to hold my hand and listen for more than 30 seconds. Much less stand in one place near an interstate.

This same thing led my household to say “maybe it was a midget”

The problem won’t be the HPD. It’s the liberal Jefferson County DA. This kween won’t do a minute of time.

Anyone with common sense knew this was BS from the start.

Most people are idiots though, so most fell for the hoax. Most people where I work were all emotional and thinking I was cold hearted.

Can't wait to shite on them tomorrow.

I don’t think it’s about doing time or even being charged.
People just want an official statement that this was a bullshite story

I think women , in general, are still all in on the toddler/ kidnapping story.
Fully believe that the kidnappers got paranoid after so much publicity that they let her go and were courteous enough to bring her all the way back to her house. You know, without regard about the potential of getting busted doing so.

I dunno, the city of Hoover swings a pretty large economic dick. Vestavia just up the road with all of its money doesn’t want this kind of trash going unchecked in their city either. There will certainly be pressure brought to bear… I wouldn’t underestimate Hoover either. They took a ton of criticism along with protests and rioting when Hoover PD shot that a-hole at the mall a few years ago. They held their cards close to the vest and were vindicated in the end.

Honest question SFP. Are you a trial lawyer? Surely you aren’t.

I do title work. Courtrooms give me anxiety. The thought of having to argue with someone in person gives me terror.

Police are going to sit quiet for a bit while giving her rope and see if she hangs herself with it.

Accurate. The Bham OTM suburban wife scene is still all in on the kidnapping story. Kind of a “It’s still real to me dammit” thing going on.

The Birmingham African American scene is fully aware that this was all bullshite.

Good. Because the idea of you reading a jury and then connecting with them personally does not seem like your strong suit; just based solely on this forum.

At the end of the day, the call will be made by Danny Carr, the DA in the Birmingham Division, or the DA in the Bessemer Cutoff (depending on the location of the crime). In either case, nothing will happen.

THAT demographic is why we can’t have nice things anymore.

Likely correct. However anyone can bring a civil case

Those pictures of her earlier in the thread scream “I think I’m the most important person on planet earth.”

I know because I have experience with these types of people.
