Unless there is rock solid evidence of a kidnap and escape/release, this lady should be charged with whatever she can be charged with for the false report, etc.

If the was some sort of attention grabbing plan, the attention was had, but nothing else. I'll await more information. It's a mighty strange story.

I admit that after seeing the pictures, I wondered why but took it at face value. Was at a 7 on 7 tournament there and there were around 20 police cars the next day collecting evidence around the exit. Flyers in every building. I think almost everyone at the tournament were talking about it. Mostly because sane people don’t think about doing something this bad as a hoax or money grab. Hell, I’m actually glad it was a hoax because we don’t need any new problems. She deserves jail, fined, and to be the most hated person in Alabama.

At least 99% of folks agree we need to know what really happened and if it's a fake she should be held accountable in some form

No one knows except Carlee and the people involved.
My first thought was psychotic break, but I’m not sure anymore. The fact that she ended up (allegedly) at a hotel and was driven home and dropped off makes me think it was planned. Running away with a boyfriend or something doesn’t make sense for a 25 year old. I’m leaning toward cash grab gone wrong, but it’s a really bad plan to make that happen. Who knows?

Me either.
When an alert is issued I don't check which type it is I just look at the descriptions given and if I'm in an area to help by God I'm going to look.
But this is the proper alert to call for an adult I believe now.
