we are in Hardin Valley north of Farragut.

I checked out the new Xül location up there last week. Love Orange Hat as well.

My cousin went to college and played golf for the Maryville College Scots. That's all I got.

Hardin Valley isn't bad. Lots of new builds up there. My kid isn't far from there at Summer camp now. Seems like a great area.

I commute Maryville to Y-12. Not bad. Traffic has added ~5 minutes in the afternoon. I suspect it will worsen.

People here bitch about the traffic, but it's still 10x better than Baton Rouge or NOLA.

It cracks me up when people here complain about traffic. If you are used to BR/Nola traffic it’s fine. If you are coming from Houston/DFW/ATL it’s a dream come true.

Smaller towns, but big enough to have amenities, close to hiking and the lakes. I'm sure there are plenty of "backwoods" elements around, but also plenty of nice areas. Also those towns are going to have opportunities to buy acreage instead of just a suburban lot.

We definitely don't want more than 1/2 acre. Looking more for 1/4 acre. We will have to take another drive up that way again.

I hate it. You will too. Crime is out of control and kept under the table. Traffic is absolutely horrible and the infrastructure can’t handle the uptick of new neighborhoods

The schools consistently underperform and the politicians are all worthless ‘yes men’

Our electricity will just randomly shut off for our whole neighborhood and we have lost running water 6 times randomly since February 6th. It’s a frickin shame

Our government flat out REFUSES to do anything about the

Interesting. I know someone who lives there that gave a completely different opinion.

How long have you lived there?

What town do you live? Our sons are all grown, graduated from college, so obviously schools are not a priority. We are interested in a conservative, low crime area.

Anywhere outside of Knoxville city limits is pretty conservative. The city itself is purple at worst, but it was enough to be a PITA for the rest of Knox county during Covid compared to the surrounding counties.

Are you working or retired? Or working remote? Plenty of jobs up here, but you won't want to commute from Vonore to Knoxville unless you just want to live out in the country or on the lake.

Since 2001

It’s gone downhill a ton since then, exponentially worse since say 2015.. I’ve lived everywhere around here, mostly in the maryville area

Thanks madam. I'll catch up with him next time he is logged on.
PM would be good with the option of enabling it if you wanted it.

And yet everyone moving here from out of state loves it. I guess it's our fault.
