feel in the minority here. Why has it become the norm to take a loan out to buy something you can’t afford? Cars, trucks, tuition, appliances, home projects, recreation crap, etc. Spoiled people. You can either save for it or if it ain’t worth saving for, it ain’t worth it!

I know right.

They said get a job to save up money, but I didn’t have money to buy a car and I don’t believe in debt so I said screw it and didn’t show up to the job.

It’s better to be debt free IMO.

Very few ppl can pay cash for a home. Now if you want talk vehicles that is a fair discussion but not for a home.

How many people need to spend $70,000 on a new vehicle?

These are acceptable to take loans out on imo. Just don't buy out of your price range on cars. Try and keep your payment under $300/mo

Tuition...stupid expensive. Nobody can afford it. But most people don't need to go anyhow (English majors, women's studies, theater, art, history, et al)

Most other things, I can understand your argument, to an extent

This. Affordability is based on more than cash on hand. This is a dumb thread.

Who NEEDS a 70k vehicle???? FYI, I’m worth a small fortune. Never spent more than $15k on a vehicle. Also FYI…your neighbors really don’t give a shite about status or what you drive.

What, like 1000 bucks? You aren’t fooling anyone. You’re one of the trashiest mfers on this board, you don’t have any money.

Let’s be honest. How many people have 20-25k saved up to buy a used car out of pocket? Or are able to be without an automobile long enough to save that up?

I can just see him sitting in a rocking chair, sipping on a hard seltzer, and chuckling to himself about threads that he creates.

So you got family money and are wondering why everyday people can’t afford million dollar homes in cash? Checks out. I mean honestly, why live if your daddy can’t buy you a new car each year, amiright?
