Only logical choice. If Skenes starts and lays an egg due to overuse, you completely deflate the team. You keep him in your back pocket and play chess against Florida. They know they will have to press if Skenes can shorten the game up to 5 or 6 innings.

Get up early, let Hurd get comfortable and keep him in there until he gets two guys on base then go to Paul. You ride Paul until we can comfortably go to Cooper

I guess it’s a gamble. What if Hurd comes out and falters and we don’t have the lead what good is Skenes at this point.

Skenes keeps them at whatever runs they currently have and our bats catch up. LSU isn't winning this without scoring runs...

Hopefully Hurd can produce what Floyd did the other night to give us a chance, I have no faith in the bottom of the line up past Cade at this point...

I believe! Hurds been filthy the last two months, like he said after WF: “there was no way I was letting us lose tonight”

It doesn’t matter whether it’s Skenes/Hurd or Hurd/Skenes honestly. Pitching will be fine tonight.
What matters more is not having 7,238 LOB, and stupid errors…

What, hitting about 220 in the last several games? Just hit the ball bring runs in and pitching will take care of itself.
