Caniveri said he'd bring Skene sin relief as well. Don't know what JJ will do but it makes the most sense for many reasons. Not all the reasons but it just makes the most sense.

Either way, doesnt matter. We need shutout innings.

Hurd is going to start. Everyone settle in on it.

Lol here come the people that think they are right and Skip is wrong

No matter the order, you will need Hurd and possibly Herring to eat up 6 innings.

I like the idea of pitching Hurd first and hope gets you all 6 but if he runs into trouble, you can bring in Skenes to shut it down for 3 innings and if there is any game left, you turn to Herring or Cooper or Guidry or possibly Floyd (probably not but maybe?) to close it out.

This is way more important, than what pitcher starts the game.

Just depends on your perspective of when the most important part of the game is. I tend to think that will be somewhere in innings 4 onward. That’s why I agree with Skip. Some may rightly that it’s the beginning of the game to halt Florida momentum.

Point being, you have to save Skenes for your highest leverage portion of the game since he can’t be expected to go much more than 50-60 pitches.
