Says they have one really good player, Jac Caglione, who I just looked up and can pitch and 1B.
He has zero clue then. Wyatt Langford is going 1st round a couple minutes after Skenes and Crews. They're solid with more than a couple superstars

Despite what Wake's numbers would say, Florida has much more pop in their lineup. You also have a wind shift coming. I expect the games this weekend to play much differently.

On the bright side, their pitching staff doesn't have near the depth of Wake's. Florida had a slightly higher team ERA in the regular season than LSU. The key will be keeping their starters from going deep into games.

Wake is 100% better. Seeing some people say that Florida has “a much better offense”, that isn’t true. Wake is (was) statistically better across the board offensively than Florida. And we already know Wake had the best pitching staff in the country.

Batting Average Rank

LSU: 20th
FL: 86th
WF: 34th

Team ERA

LSU: 20th
FL: 33rd
WF: 1st

On Base %

LSU: 4th
FL: 84th
WF: 7th

Hits Allowed Per 9 Innings

LSU: 5th
FL: 12th
WF: 1st

WHIP

LSU: 7th
FL: 33rd
WF: 1st

Obviously with Skenes not being able to go, these numbers change drastically for us so take these as you will.

Florida's offense is better

Their pitching has really good stuff, but less polish than Wake's staff.

In a normal Friday-Sunday series. LSU likely takes 2/3.

From what I can tell, their starters are great, but not close to the level of Skenes/Lowder. They've also gotten insanely lucky at getting out of based loaded situations this CWS. I think teams are 0-fer with bases loaded against them. And the Virginia coach gave the game away in Game 1 against them.

Both their main starters have raw numbers similar to Ty Floyd. But I have no clue about their starters' "stuff."

Floyd - 4.45 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 0.210 Opp BA, 0.43 BB/IP

Waldrep - 3.99 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 0.223 Opp BA, 0.51 BB/IP
Sproat - 4.66 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 0.217 Opp BA, 0.42 BB/IP

Caglinone - 3.68 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 0.186 Opp BA, 0.71 BB/IP. Cags is so wild that he's hard to hit.

LSU absolutely needs Game 1.

I would say their pitching staff resembles Tennessee with Lindsey and Beam more than it does Wake win Lowder and Hartle.
