I have never solely blamed a loss of officiating. Even the 2009 loss to Bama I could argue that LSU had other opportunities to win. But the officiating tonight was disgusting. Maybe Wake couldve won by 7.., or maybe LSU wins by 4. Who knows. But its a tragedy that college baseball put the most incompetent umpire behind the plate of the TWO BEST teams in the country. Thats what makes this lost so hard to swallow. The fans and the teams were cheated.

Lol, the umps sucked, but they sucked for both teams.

We lost because their pitching lived up to their lofty billing and shoved it right down our dick.

The other team had the same umpire and scored more runs than we did. It’s our fault

You had 1st and 3rd with 0 outs. No one to blame but your coaching and hitting not finding a way to score.

I'm sure Wake fans feel the same way. It was impossible to anticipate a strike zone, for both teams. TERRIBLE.

Nobody knew what a ball or strike was in this entire game. It was pathetic.

Oh, it was the ump that called Tre home with no out??? The ump was erratic all night but that isn't what cost the game.

I agree. There were double-digit pitches that startled me w the call. WTF? X 10. Would be nice to see the MLB “box” for validation.

He really squeezed Floyd. Floyd wasn't sharp but he got ultra tight that inning.

I totally agree. It looked intentional and nothing surprises me in this day of sports betting. You’re not going to get every close call, but when you don’t get any during a crucial stretch and he throws in some flat out wrong calls, I don’t think that’s an accident. It wasn’t just that inning, either. How in the hell do you have a guy calling the college World Series whose zone is like a good old squeeze box. Our then in. Quit counting those ankle strikes he was calling on us, but that zone didn’t apply to their hitters on multiple occasions.
