The #Jaguars have unveiled their renovation plans for TIAA Bank Field.

The plan is to transform Downtown Jacksonville and secure their NFL team well into the future, while positioning Jacksonville as a premier sports and entertainment destination.

How many people are they gonna blind and how much shite will melt from the sun reflecting off of that stadium, either way I can dig it since the Texans play there once a year.

Side note: They would have had this already if they had just drafted Tim Tebow.

Downtown Jacksonville is a dump. They've needed to revitalize it for years now.

Seems silly since they will be the London Jaguars soon.

The jags fans are fine - nobody moving to London unless and until Branson's new Virgin concorde is established

In. So hot to watch a game there in August. July convert last year, fam was melting. Worth it for Weezer/Green Day.

Looks great. We go to a couple of games each year so should make it a lot less hot in those early season games.

Jacksonville is a great place to live. Downtown sucks. The beaches are great. There are tons of golf courses. Tons of inshore and off shore fishing. No state income tax.
Great restaurants if you know where they are they are very spread out.
Great schools.
St. John’s county is a great place just south of the metro area. Great weather if you like hot and a really nice spring and fall period.
It does get a bad rap because most who visit to go to a game just see the downtown area.
That stadium is going to be amazing.
It will take some hurdles with the local politicians.
Hopefully new mayor will be all in.
The jags are not leaving.
Will suck that this is going on when the potential for a few great runs is just ahead the next few years but has to be done.

Wonder if they’re going to make the capacity smaller. They built it insanely big initially.

Yah I'm pretty sure Soldier fields capacity shrunk an insane amount with their similar futro-fit

This is basically the stadium version of adding first class and priority seats to an SWA boeing

Yep and you can build a pretty decent downtown fairly easily. Seattle and DC are recent examples of new downtownish hoods popping up due to stadiums

Good question. I would think 65,000. The gator bowl was built long before the jags came although it has been renovated through the years. I always thought it was funny they got crapped on for the tarps yet had more people attending games than the Steelers. It was simply because the stadium was so much larger then the average nfl stadium.
