Can someone with Navy experience elaborate on how this happened?
Seems like each ship should have high quality equipment to detect the presence of each other. Was this like a ghetto fight where each tried to get the other one to back off first and then blames the other for the provocation?

So.... what would America do if China sent a destroyer between Cuba and Florida? Taiwan and Cuba are close to the same distance from China and US mainland. Why are we over there poking at China?
