I was watching a clip from a Michael Moore film and the night before the election it seemed the Clinton campaign and national media were close to 100 percent sure they would win.

They had that big arse glass venue in NY with Thousands of people in it . Trump literally booked a ball room at the Hilton because even he thought there was no way . It was framed as if he had no shot

I wasn’t old enough to vote in that election but my question is genuinely what happened?
How did so many people get it wrong about who would win.

I think he got so many votes, it overwhelmed them and they didn't have enough fake ballots to count.

The Dems though it was a shoo in & did nothing to cheat like they did in 2020. They were completely caught off guard. Hilldog didn't even visit Michigan or Wisconsin because she thought she didn't need to & she lost both.

Hence, the Plandemic that ushered in mail in ballots to help them win in 2020.

Yep, they were ready in 2020, but Trump gained like 12 million votes , so they still had to shut down all the swing States to give them time to print what they needed in those States….

Bait presentation should be subtle. Think fly rod, not a crank bait.

Sorry, I was channeling my inner Magatard. There doesn't seem to be any subtlety on that channel.

Trump got lucky, put simply.

The RCP average before the election was HRC +3.2; actual results was HRC +2.1...well within the margin of error.

LINK

He happened to win the key states by a combined 70K or 100K votes or some shite like that against a historically hated opponent and MAGA interpreted this victory as some kind of watershed event when in fact most normal people saw that both candidates sucked - it's just that Trump sucked a little less than HRC.

2016 Election Swing

They shut down the vote count in several swing states looking for GRC votes just as they did in 2029 BUT they were caught flat footed then. I remember distinctly listening to ol dude on CNN saying they were looking for Clinton votes…That was a lot more literal than we knew.

but you can read.

538 had the probabilities.
search. read.
it's available.

state by state.

what happened is that comey made a big deal of information about email the Russian hackers provided for trump at his request to congress as if it meant something. read about it.
comey put his thumb on the scale two weeks before the election.

-Trump outworked Hillary in the midwest swing states
-Jill Stein played spoiler in the midwest swing states
-Trump won the vote among those who disliked both candidates but were driven to vote against someone
-Late-deciding voters broke for Trump

Those were the biggest reasons. The 2nd point is big because Trump carried MI/PA/WI by approximately 78K votes combined. Jill Stein was on the ballot and took 132K votes away from Hillary in those 3 states. Without Jill Stein, Hillary wins those 3 states and the Electoral College.

This is another good point. Margin of Error tends to be around 3%. It may be nice when a candidate is up 2-3 points in a poll but that could be meaningless because it could swing the other way to them being down by 1 point or being tied.

Completely forgot about this.

It's kind of ironic - Comey is among the most hated individuals among the MAGAts and yet he is probably responsible for Trump winning the electoral college.

All of this too.

Just a really lucky confluence of factors (which will never be repeated again) that resulted in Trump barely squeaking by the most disliked presidential candidate in history.

I went back a few weeks ago and looked at the RCP average with other Republicans. Kasich and Rubio were up on Hillary by 7 and 4 points respectively. That's how hated she was. Think about that...if Marco freaking Rubio was the nominee Hillary would've lost more states and lost the Popular Vote. Hillary probably loses MN, NV, and NH at a minimum with CO and VA being coin-flips.

The polls and the media are used to manipulate the public.

A no-way-to-win scenario could keep people from voting.
It could also be used to justify an election night protest/coup like Soros has done before.

Groupthink and pundits who were out of touch with the electorate. Most in corporate media were also largely driven by emotions and let their own biases cloud their objectivity when analyzing Trump as a candidate.

not quite. at first comey did nothing. hrc had email servers "bleached" and her staff destroyed cell phones after being subpoenaed. most of the american public was outraged because people knew had they done something like that, me and you would've be arrested for obstruction of justice. comey had no choice but to open it back up.

he still did a half assed job because hillary walks around free while others, who haven't done a fraction of what the clinton's have, rot in a cell.

O good gawd = 'I'm surprised you'd post this under your 'prime name' and not demote it to one of your alters.

Comey gave Clinton the "get out of jail-free card" and then destroyed all the evidence of her treachery.

What they all got wrong was the tremendous groundswell of rejection against the criminal Clinton Klan and got behind the upstart with a resonant message = "Make America Great Again"

DNC wasn't worried - they had Comey and his buds to spy on the Trump campaign and thought they could counter any 'surprise' he tried to pull.

PLUS they had 'plenty' of absentee ballots to bring forth to offset any potential voter surge for Trump. The problem was - they had not prepared enough junk ballots to overcome the tsunami of support for MAGA and rejection of HRC - that was completely off the charts.

You do remember they tried to hold up reports in most of the same states that had to overcome the huge Trump vote in 2020 - I remember it not being decided until very late - They even held up reporting Florida for which there was NO DOUBT of the winner.

They just had not prepared enough cheat paper.

They vowed that would never happen again ====

hello - COVID-19

hello - LOCKDOWNS

hello - MASSIVE EARLY VOTING +++ MAILOUT BALLOTs

hello - repeat of late night shutdowns and astronomical data swings in the night

==== "most secure election" in history !!!
