Mississippi congressman sends letter to Biloxi VA center, requesting removal of Pride flag
quote:
In a letter to the Secretary of Veteran Affairs, Congressman Mike Ezell requested for the Pride flag and any other flags promoting social policy positions or making a political statement to be removed.
quote:
Ezell also said flag poles are reserved for the American flag to honor veterans receiving care at the facility and those laid to rest.
quote:
"Diversity inclusion has always been a part of the day, but every June, we celebrate the LGBTQ Recognition Month. And so as part of that recognition, we decided to put the LGBTQ flag up," said Chief of Community and Public Affairs Sean Shank. "There's nothing more military than that flag, because not only does it recognize a group of veterans that have been traditionally marginalized by society, but the person who created the flag was also an Army veteran."

Yeah, that Rainbow 'Flag' goes waaay back. Read Cahn's "The Return of the Gods" to know what it means.

I wave my Rebel Flag everyday to show how disgusted I am with what is coming out of Washington. My flag is a symbol of my disgust with gooooooooooooooooooooberment and has nothing to do with a race of people.
I wish more people would let the goooooooooooooooooberment officials know how disgusted they are with their decisions.

I hope this Rep responds with he expects the Christian flag to be flying in December and April, because Christians have shed more blood for this nation than any other.
And wtf on it's ok cause a fig veteran created the flag?? Gawd this nation has lost it.

I’m gay and I’d rather die than put a rainbow flag on my house, or sticker on my vehicle. frick that.
The AMERICAN flag represents ALL AMERICANS by default. It doesn’t get anymore representative than that.
It really undermines the Gay Gestapo’s “we just want equality” messaging when they demand that rainbow shite be displayed by all organizations and companies. That isn’t equal treatment; it’s special treatment.

Well, it is called the Rebel Flag. I would rather rebel than accept what is occurring these days!!

China can’t believe how easy we are making it.

You people get so worked up every Pride month. It’s not about making people gay or even putting gay people on a pedestal. It’s about taking a few minutes out of your day each day for a month and imagining what it would feel like to have a penis in your butt.

I wish Mississippi would outlaw the pride flags on ant public building. I'm all for small government and freedom of speech but I want to make my state untenable for leftists. Call me what you will.

I’m not. Spare your pity for those who truly need it.

The Biloxi National Cemetery in Mississippi, a graveyard for war veterans, has raised a gay pride flag to fly among the American flags at the entrance to the cemetery. The decision was made possible by Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough’s authorization for all VA facilities to raise the LGBT flag in 2022.

American flags flying over the Biloxi National Cemetery and VA Medical Center were replaced with rainbow LGBTQ flags after Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough authorized the flying of such flags above VA facilities.

VA officials estimate that roughly 1 million veterans nationwide (about 5% of the American veteran population) identify as gay or bisexual.
quote:
VA Press Secretary Terrence Hayes said the practice of flying the flags has been allowed in previous years during June, celebrated as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month. McDonough authorized the move again this year “as a tribute to the service and sacrifice of LGBTQ+ veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.” Local officials can decide whether to display the flags or not.

So we have to cater to a small minority?

There’s no greater form of patriotism than flying the flag of a once enemy
