That’s what this all boils down to. Going to really need the bats to get going in order to pull this off

I wouldn’t be so quick to suggest OSU runs through the losers bracket after today’s game. They’re going to sell out on the mound to beat LSU. If/when they’re unsuccessful, they’ll be in the worst spot in the regional from a pitching perspective. With the way Tulane was hitting the ball hard off of Skenes, I wouldn’t count them out.

Not really. Lose and you have to win 3 more games. Not impossible to do because we’ve seen them come out the losers bracket in Oregon. But from what I saw from OSU yesterday, they’re going to be tough to beat two in a row.

Massive game tonight. You throw EVERYONE (except for Little…LOL) tonight if you have too. Short leashes for everyone. You piece together the championship game or the Monday game and hope you can take one of two.

Yep it’s too bad we were the 2 seed and had to throw our Ace to get us to 2/3 vs OSU.

You’re absolutely correct, sir. I thing we will have to score more than seven runs to win this game tonight. With our BP and OSU’s hot bats, the offense is going to have to produce more than yesterday!

If you lose game 1 you have to win 4 in a row.

Even with Skenes that means 3 in a row without him and only 7 or 8 pitchers you really want to use.

Oregon St was 10th out of 11 teams in their conference in batting average this season but now because they slobbered some meatballs directly over the plate y’all acting like they’re some offensive juggernaut.

Not chicken little at all. I’m just saying this boils down to beating OSU twice without the best player in college baseball playing.
The team ERA minus Skenes is over 6.00.
They have all had issues throwing strikes and getting outs.
We did lead 13-4 vs Ms State in the top 6th and couldn’t get 12 outs with the pitchers we have remaining.

I don’t, but I think we will.

9 - 5 LSU

And if you win game 1 and lose game 2 you have to win 4 games in 4 days.

So what’s the difference?

Floyd will dominate. Let’s just hope there’s not a long delay by review to slow him down.

You need to win 3 in a row if you win game 1 and lose game 2.

Bro……if we hope to get anywhere in this tournament…..we’re going to have to rely on Floyd and Hurd.

If we can’t do that, we’re done anyway

That one game sample size thing gotta love these sorts of pre-melts.

You saw their #1 pitcher and their bats against Sam Houston

Let’s see:

Win game 1 in Friday (thats 1 win)
Lose game 2 on Saturday
Win the losers bracket game and the first championship round game on Sunday (that’s 3)
Win the winner take all game on Monday (that’s 4)

If you lose with either game 1 or game 2 in the current regional format you are in the same exact situation following the completion of day 2.

I’m not melting what was our game 3 conference record? I’ll help…. 5 game 3 losses, giving up 9, 14,12,14,8.
So half our conference loses we’re game 3 and averaging 11.4 runs in those losses
