It looks to me like they are adding very large offensive personnel, WR's and TE's, with blocking ability. Dennis Allen's dream is to have all of those big bodies in late in the game while Taysom pummels the opponent in the run game. I think that will be his role.

Reminds me of the bus late in his career. You only saw him on the field in short yardage.

is he being regulated to Special Teams and a few Wildcat plays a game this year?

I mean that's primarily his role. His very, very expensive role.

That contract he gave him will come back to haunt us as we keep having to kick it down the road. Hill is almost 33. How much longer can his body take the beating it takes?

Hopefully his body can hold on until the new cap increases come because his contract is an albatross.

Would be nice if he offered something of value for Taysom.

The cap hit would be immense. He has like $16.9M in pro-rated bonus yet to hit our cap from all the restructuring.

I think the more offensive weapons and looks we can deploy the better.
Look at KC.

I know, that is why I said it would be nice if he offered us something of value. That cap hit is not going away and his future base salaries are $10 million a year in 2024 and 2025. I cannot see him playing for the Saints through the 2025 season (even then, the dead cap would still be over $5 million).

I don't know if his body holds up till 2025 but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Imo he isn't worth 10 or 11 mil a year in his current role but it's not some crazy overpay. Maybe a couple mil. It's not his fault they keep pushing cap.
