Pre Swing Thoughts

What is your mental (or physical) checklist they go through before swinging a club?
I have a relatively unorthodox driver swing. Nothing Matt Wolfe crazy, but my grip is definitely not a proper grip (my right thumb is 90 degrees stronger than my left), when I pull away from the ball, I almost start an outside to in swing and then I swing about 98% every swing. If I don't follow that exact routine the shot just doesn't go well. Duck hook or slice. It goes all over the place.
Irons, I try to remember to accelerate through the shot, keep my head still and follow through to the target. My biggest problem occurs when I transition from backswing to front swing too fast and I'll pull the hell out of the shot if I don't focus on getting the follow through towards the hole.
Wedges, I have to remind myself to use the bounce swing through the ball, and keep the upper body quiet.
Most of this is just golf-basics stuff, but curious what your pre-shot routine is.

What’s my lie, wind direction, landing spot, shot shape, etc
If you think of anything else while playing the game you are doing a disservice to yourself and scoring ability.

“Man, I’m so horny” then rip it!

Right arse cheek touching my left heel on driver.
Hit the bottom left quadrant of the ball.
Start with a super slow/tempo focus transition/downswing to begin the round and work up slowly.

All pre-shot thoughts about lie, wind, club selection, shot shape, etc are controlled by the left brain. Actual physical movement is controlled by the right brain. If you are trying to execute a shot while thinking a bunch of thoughts you are in deep trouble. The left brain activity will lock up your athletic movement. The most you should ever have is one thought for the back swing and one for the down swing. Preferably you have one thought only and you keep the target in your mind. Golf is a target sport yet it is the only target sport where we don't look at the target. So, see the target in your mind and keep it there through the swing. Have fun!

1. Target line
2. Ball Position
3. Actual Swing Thought (Stay Smooth) and keep the booty back
4. Two waggles and swing away

Before I get over the ball its wind, shot shape, etc.
Then I take a couple of practice thinking about the shot shape and my normal swing thoughts (low and slow on the way back, good full turn on the way back, and attacking the ball from the inside).
Finally, when I am over the ball I just lie to myself and my last thought before swinging is to think "you're an athlete be athletic" or "you're better than anyone on this golf course." None of which is true, but I have found that these confident/egotistical lies to myself erase bad thoughts and help me swing with confidence.

1) Grip it
2) Rip it
3) Find it
4) Rinse, repeat…

I sometimes use the 7-4-7 swing thought system.

If it’s a fart, will it be wet? If it isn’t a fart, can I make it back to the clubhouse

Stand behind the ball pick the best line based on circumstances lie, wind, hole, layout. See the shot, step in and react to that picture.

1) Find my aim spot about two feet infront
2) Spend time building my stance(ive been focusing a lot of time on this to work on consistency)
3) Think about starting my takeaway properly including where the head goes and make sure my hips are rotating and not swaying
Other than that, i pretty much let it rip. I may or may not think about how far my backswing goes, its pretty subconscience at this point.
ETA:11-13 handicap for context

Everybody's gonna be different so I don't think one person's thoughts will work for somebody else's. With my driver my pre-swing thoughts are only two things: don't sway (on the take-away) and come from the inside (on the downswing). Irons are don't sway and get to your left side (downswing).

I feel like after 12 years of playing seriously I've finally gotten to the point where I don't really have swing mechanics thoughts on the course. What I do now is try to get 1 "feel" thought for the day when I'm warming up on the range before the round, and just stick with that for the round. After I hit for a little bit and hit some good ones, I'll try and say "ok, when I hit it solid, it feels like I'm keeping my head here" or "feels like I'm turning my right hip back" or "feels like I'm swinging the handle lower" etc etc. I just pick one thing that I felt on good swings and think of that when I'm playing.
