Worst case scenario by far

They're a shittier version of Arkansas, it's insulting to be paired with those losers

I honestly don’t care as long as it doesn’t take 15 years to play a team on the road.

They really want to make the fake A&M rivalry a thing

Agree. NIL has made rilvaries useless. Even the iron bowl is irrelevant

Such a forced rivalry.

If they go with the 3 game permanent partners it should be:

LSU vs Florida
Texas A&M vs Oklahoma

I would rather play Texas than Texas A&M.

If there is only one permanent opponent, Texas-Oklahoma will unquestionably be one of the matchups.

People really don’t seem to understand those are really the only choices if there is only one permanent opponent. Anyone else we as fans might think of as a bigger rival for LSU has other primary rivals bigger than LSU. Alabama-Auburn (then Tennessee). Ole Miss-Miss St. Florida-Georgia.

It'll only be temporary anyway. This entire saga is around ESPN hemorrhaging money and refusing to pony up for the extra game. Deal is over after '25 and the SEC will be open for bidding and that 9th game will entice more money. Saban will be gone by then so his say will be moot. Besides until the conferences finish realigning everything is temporary. Much ado about nothing.

The bigger rival for A&M would be Texas and it’s not even close.

The SEC has contrived a number of controversial calls playing them to try to create a rivalry.

I don’t think we get the aggots. Lucky for us their big brother is in so they likely get their lil bro back.

Yeah but it’s going to be Texas Oklahoma, and for good reason

Texas-Oklahoma makes both schools money and they want to keep it. The Texas-Texas A&M series has already been interrupted so if it stays semi-annual, it’s no big deal. So Texas-Oklahoma will stay intact.

This. Aggie literally sings a song about sawing off the Longhorns twice each game no matter who they are playing.

True, but A&M is in the same position there as LSU is with the other rivals they might prefer. Texas-Oklahoma are the primary rivalry for both schools. That was true even before A&M bolted to the SEC.

Why? We have a very long history with A&M and used to play them every year. We've played them more times than we've played Auburn, whom we never really played until the conference broke in to divisions.
