Chipped a molar: need dental advice

I’ve had some sensitivity for a while there so figured I had an issue. Nerve must not be exposed because I’m not in pain. I’ve heard some of you ballers talking about seeing specialists for root canals and crowns. What are my best options? Need this fixed with minimal pain, time for fix, and down time. Tell me what to do.

A modern root canal treatment is nothing like those old sayings! It's very similar to a routine filling and can usually be completed in one or two appointments, depending on the condition of your tooth and your personal circumstances. Getting a root canal is relatively painless and extremely effective. You'll be back to smiling, biting and chewing with ease in no time.

1. Go to a dentist
2. Do what he tells you unless you don’t have dental insurance and aren’t in pain
3. There is no 3

Rub some dirt on it or drink some Bud light
Your choice.

You more than likely need a crown. “Chipped” is subjective coming from a patient.

Go see a dentist.
Sometimes they can replace the chip with epoxy.

Extraction is the cheaper option.

A good dentist will know..
If a chip and no pain they can possibly just put a veneer on it.. I have that on a tooth..
If cracked you can wait but probably will need a crown at some point..
Or they can just smooth it out if no structural problem

How about go see a dentist and let them shoot an x ray. If no infection, you will need a crown. If it’s a root canal, it’ll be a little more money and about ten more minutes of a procedure. Good indication of it being infected is it will hurt if you tap on it or bite down.

Find a way to get it done Wednesday or Thursday. Tigers are in the Box 2PM Friday. Liquid diet.

Dental work has gotten very specialized (and pricy). You'll go to your regular dentist, and he'll x-ray and set you up with a specialist for a root canal, after the root canal, you'll go back to your dentist for a cap/crown. Minimum three or four visits and starts at $1500. If a back tooth, just get it pulled (if it is causing you pain).

Why? I've had several (bad teeth runs in my family), and it beats the hell out of dentures.
And you don't necessarily need a root canal to get the tooth reconstructed (dentist will decide that on a case by case basis), but if your tooth is chipping and you want it repaired, I would HIGHLY recommend getting it capped/crowned. Reconstructed teeth tend to break again over time. And the new crowns tend to be made of Zirconium, which is much sturdier stuff than the old porcelain crowns. I've had about half a dozen teeth capped this way.

A crown should fix the problem
