Buried cat for next door Granny Monday afternoon and now it's gone. I probably had at least 4-6" of soil on top of it. What could of dug and drug it out of the hole? Bigfoot?

6 inches of soil? Dude, you got to bury that thing at least a foot and a half deep.

At 4-6” any animal can still smell the free food offering.

Next time you kill your neighbors cat bury it deeper.

Could of been a coyote.
Could of been a chupacabra.
Could of been a serial killer in the making.
Could of been a lot of things.

Definitely could not of been Bigfoot. Bigfoot would not of done that.

Fox

Raccoon

Armadillo

Cat

Dog

Yote

Possum

...it's actually a fairly long list of suspects.

Back in 06 or so when our family chocolate lab was a pup, we also had a guinea pig who passed away after living for 6 years. We buried her in the backyard about 6” deep. A couple of days later, we let the pup out to go take a dump and lo and behold, she digs up the guinea pig corpse.

So it was probably a dog or coyote or similar.

You didn’t “bury” anything. You covered it. Need to bury a dog or cat at least 2-3’ deep or whatever scavenger abounds will smell it rotting and dig it up.

The bigger the corpse the deeper you need to dig. That’s how human remains are usually found. The hole ain’t deep enough. Need 6-8’ for a human minimum. 10-12’+ for adult livestock.
