Summer is just around the corner, which means New Yorkers are baring arms — and legs, shoulders and abs.

But many young women are also packing a defense for deterring creepy dudes: the subway shirt.

Alternatively known as a modesty shirt or outfit dampener, it’s a baggy, longer layer that can be thrown over more fitted or revealing clothes to avoid harassment underground.

“As we come out of winter, people act like they’ve never seen a woman before,” Grace Masingale told The Post.

Funny how modesty can keep undesirables away...almost like many societies and cultures over many centuries have known this.

How dare you call those typically friendly, beloved people creeps.

I mean, it's shocking what happens when you don't dress like a literal whore.

Men can be douchey, especially on a summer’s eve, Masingale also told the post.

Who doesn't want to live in a closet in the greatest city in the world only to be groped while using public transit?

Dressing in an overtly sexual manner with revealing clothing and breasts pushed up, and men notice. Who could have foreseen this?

This all comes down, yet again to “Of course I’m tarting myself up for male attention, but only from the ones that I want. I didn’t want looks from THOSE guys”.

Many believe they can have it both ways and shouldn't be accountable for the attention they draw.

Reminds me of the 'sexual harrasment in the workplace' SNL sketch with Tom Brady.

So… this is serving as an overcoat for hookerware?

If you don’t want attention, don’t dress for attention.

I mean, women should be able to not fear bad attention when in public. But at the same time, one of them is literally wearing lingerie. So what you do and wear attracts attention, it just may not be the specific attention you desire.

I could walk around the subway with cash hanging out of my pocket, but common sense tells me I should keep it hidden in my wallet/pocket and avoid unwanted attention.

What are the odds that these women watched "Sex and the City" and thought their lives in NYC would play out exactly the same way?
