Completely irrelevant especially considering Louisiana as a state is not on par with those states. UL is an R1 research school, same as UT and UNC, its the highest research classification for a university, only three schools in Louisiana have achieved this classification, LSU, Tulane & UL Lafayette.
This isn’t about academics though, this is about how we brand our athletic teams. You are just grasping at straws to show that we should know our place, its the small-minded attitude that keeps Louisiana last in every state metric.

LSU is the flagship. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it. LSU tends to remind people daily about it. If our name affects LSU’s status as some prestigious college, then there’s a lot more issues on that Baton Rouge campus that needs fixing.

Statement was UC Berkeley is not the UC flagship and goes by Cal/California for it’s athletic brand. Nevada-Reno also goes by Nevada athletically. These are just examples, you clowns are grasping at straws trying to show how UL Lafayette going by Louisiana is not the same because either we are not as prestigious or haven’t “Earned it” in your eyes. As if anything an LSU supporter views us as is relevant, just another know your place thread.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that you can get into ULL with a 22 on the ACT, while UNC and Texas only accept 22% of applicants
