I think LSU is going to be fine

It feels like the team is going through a slump phase, everything just seems flat. Get the slump out the way before post season because everyone goes through a slump. It's a mental game now. Pitching will step up. I believe it. Jay has been throwing everybody on the highest stage in college baseball. I think these kids will be ready by post-season.

You know how baseball teams try to "get hot" at the right time? Well, it's also possible to do the exact opposite of that.

Not sure why everyone's acting like regionals are this weekend.

We're playing tight right now.
And the bullpen is crumbling at the very wrong time. We didn't build up enough wiggle room earlier in the conference season when we left sweeps on the table so we still have stuff to play for from a post season seeding standpoint.
I don't think we're far away, but we need some pitchers to pull their heads at least partially from their asses.

This kid could win us the Natty and there will still be idiots around bashing the kid.

I mean regionals start 17 days from now. We have been getting worse as the season goes on. Not sure why some people are acting like pitching is going to suddenly improve once the postseason starts and we are playing better competition.
The OP saying “Pitching will step up. I believe it.” is just him being an LSU fan. Also saying, “these kids will be ready by the post season” is just being naive.

The bullpen has sucked for most of the year.
I don’t expect that to change .

Oh my sweet summer child. Optimism is not met with the kindest intentions on this forum. Prepare thy anus!

"We will be Fine" spewed out by a Pump Nut =
The OP then calls them "Kids." Funny, they don't look like kids to me. "Kids" is what you call a bunch of Little League Fartknockers, not grown men playing college baseball.

Dude, have you watch this team all year long. Pitching has not improved and we are starting to make stupid plays. JJ is micromanaging pitching staff and is coaching scared. Nice try but this team is done.

Because when the general statement is made about getting hot at the "right time", it is usually meant as the last 1/4 of the season.....not literally at the end of the season.
See Ole Miss last year, see Auburn this year.
LSU's last quarter of the season has been a disaster. They are slumping at the wrong time.

If that's the case tne flordia is not a top 5 team either. On a friday night game against georgia, Florida was up 11-4 going into the ninth inning and Georgia scored 9 runs in the 9th inning to win 13-11 against florida. Florida has also been swept by south carolina and lost a series to Texas A & M. Florida is ranked 2nd. We lose two series and everyone wants to fire the coach. We've been too hot all year long to give up on this team. It's baseball. Stuff like this is going to happen. Everyone went from "oh this is the best baseball team ever" to "Oh this team wont make it out of the regionals". We still have time to figure out the pitching scenario. Win this series against Georgia and get the feeling of winning again. SEC tournament can be a good time to really figure out the pitching before the post season. Geaux Tigahs

Lost 2 of their last 4 series and loss their only game in Hoover.
They played pretty poorly down the stretch.

Win 2/3 or sweep this weekend and suddenly we will all be happy. Winning cures everything.
