Fuel additive for boat gas tank

Looking for recommendations for a fuel additive for ethanol free gas that has been sitting for 7 months. Just want to make sure the engine runs good when I use it next week. Thanks.

The time for an additive was 7 months ago, which would’ve prevented separation, but I suspect you’re fine. Just put what fresh gas you can in there.

You should be OK but I typically run seafoam through my engines every 2-3 tanks. I did use a royal ruple octane booster once in a similar situation but couldn’t tell you if it made a difference or not

I would test it out now, before my big fishing trip next week, and take care of what needs to be taken care of before I'm on the water.

this ^^^^^^^
7 months isnt a long enough time to have issues, but try to add as much fresh gas as you can just to be sure

Also I’ve heard that if you put the boat up with 35gals of fuel in your 35gal tank, there’s only so much moisture that can be wicked out of the air and captured in your tank.
I’m not a chemist, but the logic makes sense to me.

Seafoam, Seafoam, Seafoam. I put it in 2-stroke mix that can sit for 6-8 months in a chainsaw or blower (both Stihls) and they crank like they were used an hour ago.

Being that the gas is 7 months old, I would definitely be using SEAFOAM.
I always use 100% gas and add Chevron Techron Protection Plus Marine Fuel System Treatment. It is very similar to yamaha ring free but at a more reasonable price.

Sea Foam Pro
I picked this up at Academy a couple months ago and add some every time I fill up the tank. It supposedly cleans some internal components while also stabilizing the fuel.
Another option is Sta-Bil which you can find at Academy, West Marine, etc...
As others have said including additive when you pump the gas should help stay off "phase separation" in Ethanol gas. Ethanol Free gas is always preferable but not always accessible.

I keep Seafoam in my boat when i am not using it enough. I will also pump old fuel out and start fresh if its been to long for my liking.

Just put stabil marine in it every single tank of gas and stop worrying about gas going bad. But yeah should have done that 7 months ago!
