I think teachers should be allowed to call the student by their chosen name or their legal name.
I think teachers SHOULD call students by their chosen name... but I don't think they should be punished if they choose not to.
I wonder how effective a teacher is, if they choose to not call a student by their chosen name. My guess is they are a hard-arse which most of the students hate, and thus, don't learn anything in that class.

A teacher who doesn’t want to put up with that shite will either be conventionally attractive or just conservative.
A student who acts out over that looks like they could use a 5150.

On May 11th? If KS is like LA, there is no learning going on at this point. State testing is done, they are playing around until summer.

Original op-ed was released on 4/21 and they started to protest shortly thereafter, also we are still full-on at my local schools.
