A typo is where I went wrong. Nevermind the bulk and content of what I’m saying.

The fact you don’t realize that a thrombus is a clot tells me what I need to know about your medical knowledge.

That you would jump to an embolic stroje as the most likely cause of stroke in a patient with known high blood pressure is telling.

What kind of doctor are you?

People are fricking idiots.

I’m at a point where I can’t stand to be around anyone who’s overly political. Like people who bring it into every single conversation and it’s their only sense of identity. Get a hobby.

So, what's up with all the mixed messages coming out regarding Jamie Foxx?
Is he bad off or is he doing great?

A Jerry Maguire reference, especially a fairly obscure, non-overused one, will always get an upvote from me .

I believe it was that same scene where Sugar said : “ I haven't seen you since we were with that stripper in Laguna Beach. Do you remember her name? I do. It was April. That's my job; to remember the names of skanks that you bang on the road. That's what I do. It's not about the money. I do it all for you."

Genius .

A little unhinged. I think we are in agreement despite your trying so desperately to pick some weird internet fight this morning.

The only thing I was arguing was the traditional use of the word “clot” as it pertains to VTE. I never tell my patients they have a “blood clot” when describing atherosclerotic plaques. I also never argued that blood pressure cannot cause a stroke, but it does not itself cause “clots” in the traditional definition of VTE.

So quit being such a dick.

Know what else has caused an uptick in clots?

Fortunately we know the cause since blood clots didn't exist before the vax.

When he was first hospitalized some of the articles mentioned a melt down Foxx had on set filming in London just before production came back to film in Atlanta.

Actors & Actresses having meltdowns seem to be the norm and might not have been the start of a deteriorating situation, but it does seem related at this point.

You’re wrong though, and this isn’t semantics, it’s basic pathophysiology.

HTN leads to atherosclerosis which leads to ruptured/uncovered plaque releasing tissue factor that activate platelets to form a thrombus, which leads to ischemia. This is thrombus on the arterial side. This is absolutely caused by clotting blood and isn’t debatable. Ask an interventional radiologist who performs thrombectomies for strokes if they consider the thrombus a clot.

VTE. Venous thrombosis (why wouldn’t you tell a patient with vte that they have a clot in their leg? They’d understand it better) forms by a very similar process. Venous thrombosis most commonly is from stasis. Stasis causes inflammation of the endothelium which releases tissue factor which then activates activates platelets, etc, etc.

The only difference between arterial and venous thrombosis is arterial is caused by injured vascular wall/endothelium (from chronic htn and atherosclerosis or dissection or anything else) and venous thrombosis is usually the result of venous stasis, causing inflammation of the endothelium.

Again. This isn’t semantics. It’s pathophysiology.

And why would you jump to embolic stroke from afib in a patient with known chronic HTN? In which field do you practice?

I was actually referring to Martin Lawrence’s “exhaustion” incident I was talking about further up.

From my memory of that one, he started behaving erratically in public and they called it “exhaustion.”

I think that may have been the inspiration for Tracy Morgan’s run down the 101 in his underwear wielding a light saber in 30 Rock.

This. And the worst are those that aren’t particularly knowledgeable or well read on the issues, spoonfed by the media, but think anyone wants to hear their hyperpolitical garbage.
