LSU currently at 40-15 (13-11) after the Ole Miss game. Do what you want with this info.

I think she's doing good. Needs to get better offensively but you ain't firing a coach with that track record unless the Oklahoma coach calls and says she's moving to BR.

Rather average. I don't think she places much emphasis on winning the SEC, either regular or Tournament....just host those regionals baby is her mantra

Not as bad as posters make her out to be. Its just that she has been here for a really long time. If you fire her, you really need to have an elite coach lined up IMO.

I don’t think y’all understand what “average” or “middle of the pack” mean. Winning conference record in all but one season (.500 with a WCWS trip that year). It might not be good enough for you, but it’s certainly above average/middle.

We have in other sports when they've been here a while and things got stale. She made 3 straight CWS, then got bounced in the Supers 3 straight times, and then got bounced in the Regionals last year. Hate to tell you, but that's a downward trajectory over the past 7 postseasons. Jury's out on what happens in the postseason this year.

The crowds are still coming for softball. It's not like the wbb where the PMAC had become an empty morgue. When crowd support stops, there might be some action but till then she continues doing what she does.

A lot of schools in SEC would love to have a coach who averages 40 wins a season and gets to regionals/super regionals every year. The Covid yr was probably gonna be a WcWS appearance yr, she can recruit with the best and has so much talent coming over next 2 yrs, she and coaching staff needs to develop better offensive players

The thing is Beth isn’t a bad coach but she has also gotten complacent and the program is stale stuck in the exact same spot with the exact same problems we continue to reiterate year after year

We will continue to make regionals and often super regionals under Beth. But significant staff changes are needed to get back to OKC and even contend for a SEC title.

The issue is Beth is pretty stubborn and won’t let go of her assistants that are like family to her. She has zero desire to make a change even though she knows she needs help and they aren’t getting the job done. The end product is stale and frustrating for fans to watch IMO

LSU has top 3 facilities and top classes after top classes but are underachieving relative to what we have and the resources the program has access to

Kind of what I'm thinking too. I don't think there's a Kim Mulkey of softball with Louisiana ties out there.

I think she needs to make it to OKC or possibly be shown the door. The heat should be turned up regardless.

Finished 6th in the SEC this year, RPI today was 6 with a SoS of 4.

Tennessee won @ 19-5, so 20 SEC wins in softball is almost not even achievable.

Even in baseball, 15-15 in the SEC is still a really good year.
