And we're done here.
I also don't see any recourse for him even if he could file a shareholder action.

Can one of you esteemed lawyers explain how a company can sue another for not doing business with them with no existing contract

Wait, is this the same guy that sues everyone for not spending more on ad money with his company?
I remember a story almost exactly like this a few years ago that involved NOLA, iirc?
ETA: Looks like it was Charter Communications, and they settled back in 2021. In 2022 the mcdonalds thing started. This guys business model is based around racial grifting.
Apparently he was also submitting a bid to buy the Washington Commanders.

What is this garbage? He’s suing them for essentially choosing not to do business with his companies??

:blah blah blah:
Someone’s pissed they didn’t get their handout.

Wish I was judge or on the jury for that one.

Sounds like it is a little deeper than that. He is suing a company in which he already has an open lawsuit against, from doing more business with his companies.
And, even if his understanding of "the pledge" is accurate, it's still not 2024 and it does not appear from his statement at what point in 2024 would they need to meet this threshold. Of course, I am sure if he had a written agreement about this pledge, the $100B lawsuit would further complicate any future contracts.

This the same clown that sued Chevy or one of the other car makers for the same crap.
Maybe they just don't want to do business with whiny arse black clowns like him.

How does the guy claim legal standing?
He's not a designated representative of all black media as a singular entity.

1) its not 2024 yet, so how can McDs fail to meet a goal if time frme not achieved
2) since he is extorting McDs, then i would imagine McDs would blackball this company and use someone from the other 10% market share.....
3) and most important of all.... what does race even matter in this instance....

Byron Allen is shady as hell and all up in politicians pocketbooks.
He absolutely derailed the Tegna/Standard General merger. They were set to merge(really a buyout) pending FCC approval and then letters came out from Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren to the head of the FCC telling them to NOT let the merger go through.
This all happened shortly after both Pelosi and Warren attended a fundraising party at Allen's house where he gave both of them a hefty donation. Neither Tegna or Standard General have a station in either of their districts.
Allen has been trying to buy Tegna for years and I think he's hoping the shares drop enough in price for him to just take it over. He's already taken over some smaller media companies.

Some of you guys forget you don't really have to have a true legal standing to sue. You can sue anyone for anything at anytime. And when it comes to a massive media company making claims of racism......they're just wanting them to settle.

Every McDonalds ad these days is a black couple drinking Sprite and eating chicken sandwiches. What is this guy complaining about
