Mintz and an old boss of mine were buddies, I just remember every time he came into the store thinking “they pay this idiot to speak? Not only is he kind of a dumbass slob, but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Who would possibly want to listen to this guy?”
Then when he was hired at barstool I understood exactly what Portnoy was doing.

Why would you feel bad about reading a song lyric? Is that not the way the artist intended it when they wrote it? I mean if lyrics/music are considered a form of art, isn’t censoring or changing the art disrespectful to the artist?

Similar but one HUGE difference here is Mintz worked for someone who has REPEATEDLY spoken out against cancel culture when he was the one at risk of being cancelled. BUT, when the tables are turned and he has something at stake for the cancelling of someone else he feel quite differently.
