it seems like only a matter of time before lawmakers try to rein in gambling advertising and this could have just been an excuse to do so

all the fake parleys that get posted on instagram and twitter like "this dude REALLY hit 16 player prop parley to turn 50 into 435600"

Not much ego there. Lots of gratitude is what I’ve always seen. He’s always verbalized that he feels like he lucked up and is living the dream.

but he wasn't aware enough to realize that it felt like a make a wish thing to everyone else. everyone at barstool laughed at him, not with him.

Didn't he cede a bunch of control when they sold to that Chernin guy, then again when they went into business with Penn? That's how business works, Dave doesn't control things like he used to. Of course, he sold out.

im pretty sure he 100% sold out as of a couple months ago. 0 power.

Maybe in regards to Mintz's content, but they all seem pretty genuine the past day or so with the outpouring of support and comments that Mintz is legit a nice guy.

He’s just another employee. His contract is actually up in 2 years and most people speculate he will no longer be with Barstool at that point.

he often seemed to think his reach was larger than it was, like taking credit for the growth of college baseball

And that’s what I just don’t understand. Just the mean spirited remarks like those above. He’s a good hearted dude. Quirky or whatever. I get that he might not have been the cool kid in school. As I’ve gotten older, that shite matters way less to me and the quality of the person matters more.

yeah I think people liked him but will admit he was worthless

if this happens to an earner then they probably get off with a light slap. Mintzy was a sacrificial lam because he was dead weight as it was.

There are some things you can't come back from and that is one of them. Everyone knows it. And I mean, if you "accidentally" say it on the air then you probably say it all the time off the air.

All the “barstool is woke” and “Dave’s a sell out” stuff aside, we need to be honest about what mintzy is.

The guy had literally the easiest/coolest job in the world and all he had to do to keep it was produce his same low effort content and he could barely even do that. It’s clear that he’s a lazy dude. It took the entire company and hordes of people on the internet making fun of him openly for not doing anything before he FINALLY created his own original content, that wasn’t 30 second clips of him at games or concerts, with wake up mintzy. Then that show proceeds to last a month where he’s caught hot mic’d saying he can’t get up that early, pre records a show, flashes a reflection in his phone of DraftKings and drops an N bomb on another. The guy is hilariously dumb and that was a fitting end to the experiment.

All he wanted to do was go to games, concerts, and festivals. I don’t blame him, we all do the same, except we go back to work on Monday. Welcome back to the real world mintzy
