Took a boat ride in the neighborhood lake this evening. We’re restricted to trolling motors only. I’m halfway through a beer watching my kid fish and some fella fires up a pressure washer. That sound carries really good across a 45 acre lake. I know the 9-5ths won’t be happy and I understand that. What are the pros and cons to those restrictions?

Thankfully my HOA banned fishing.

I can not imagine spending time caring about this.

Typo, should say 35 acres. It’s just a small neighborhood with 60 or so property owners and a 35 acre spring fed lake and we have a HOA to keep the typical Bogalusa things from happening. Nothing fancy.

I was an HOA president once. First order of business was to disband the HOA because of dumb shite like this.

Think about how loud the trolling motor was to the fish.

A pressure washer? That's just outrageous! Forget the HOA. Call the Sheriff's Dept

You sound like the lady that told me the gas powered leaf blowers the yard guys were using are too loud and bad for the environment. Suggested they use rakes instead.

Wanted to tell her she could rake my yard then.

If you pulled this shite on me, I’d get a v8 powered pressure washer to get around the small engine ordinance.

Unless the guy is running the pressure washer past dark you should mind your own fricking business.

Are you going to complain about people mowing their grass and using a trimmer also?

Why don’t you bring up dogs barking and kids laughing while you’re at it?

Do not be that much of a pussy.

Small engines are a necessary thing in order to do work.

You live in Bogalusa. This is equivalent to living in Kuwait and complaining about camel shite.

Some of your responders have terrible ready comprehension. I was told before that the trolling motors only rule was to keep the lake clean nothing to do with noise
