Entergy Bills out of control

It is now almost $100 a month for me, and it was at $31 throughout 2020 and 2021.
I think I know why this is. Go to Entergy's website and take a look at their massive ESG report. Tons of stuff about "climate change" and "net zero", etc, nothing about how to bring costs down. This is incredible, and it ties back to my point:
Where are these state republicans? Why is no one talking about this? Bringing electricity costs down would be a great platform to run on, and the state could pass laws barring ESG concerns from how power is to be generated. Republicans in DC could do the same thing by using the debt ceiling as negotiation.
Yes, I am aware this is somewhat political in nature, but the poli board is not concerned with topics of actual importance.
So, anybody seen the republicans?
I'm gonna keep coming back until somebody remembers seeing the republicans.

It’s a small price to pay for all the virtue you get to show everybody

Did you live in a cardboard box or something?

On the Entergy app on the last billing day of last month the usage on my house showed $131 and for the meter on the guest house it was $58
My bills came in at $330 and $147.
How the hell was it that far off?

They had to collect more money to buy carbon credits, probably.

I have gas only through Entergy and most of our house is electric. That bill is more than $31

Trust me it’s not going to get any cheaper because we have so many solar projects coming down the pipeline and guess what? It’s more expensive to buy solar electricity.

Impossible your electric bill was 31
Posted on 4/24/23 at 6:29 pm to TIGERHOLD
They have a lot of fees built in to where even if you keep ur electric/gas usuage down to minimal you're bill will still be at least $30 a month. It sucks. It should be pay for what you use.

There’s no way your electric bill was $30 a month.

They dont really care about the customers.. never really have with a general state sponsored monopoly.. they care about doing what their told by the regulators and staying compliance.. in the normal world, the government would encourage cost savings and help subsidize the end consumer… now they care about bullshite green energy and subsidize the energy companies with little regard to the consumer.

The Public Service Commission is the one to contact regarding electric rates.
And I’m sorry to inform you but Louisiana pays some of the lowest, if not the lowest electric rates in the nation. No, I don’t have a link but it’s a fact.

Fuel cost. Look at your bill. It’s like 40% of what you pay.

How’s the 400 sq ft apartment treating you?

The republicans are hanging out at Entergy lobbying HQ. They’ll be the ones with their hands out.

You done fricked up, someone that works for Entergy will tell them about this and they will go back and check your account and determine they under charged you and send you a bill for $10,782.07 to make it up.
