He better throw the ball more. Either way, love the progress he's having, can't wait for this year

Not sure how many plays that he doesn't have a option to run.
Look we all want JD to make more reads and done quicker. Its not a secret here or in that locker room. They will do their best but in the end we all want the same thing...W's not stats.

So the extra weight will help him decipher defenses.
Got it.
Got it.

He may be close to Joe Burrow's size, but that's about it. No where near the talent.

My son and I went on OPTAVIA his senior year.
I did it to help him lose weight.
I went from 235 to 209
Looked like I had the weight lose virus.
People were asking me if I was sick or something.
No thanks, BMI index is bullshite.

I’ve said it on here a thousand times now. JD will have a helluva year. He will progress in the new system and you can obviously see he is taking everything in and making sure he has a great year. He is going to be fun to watch this year.

Ha. Daniels was 170lbs coming out of high school.
Fun fact: Tommy Hodson was 6’3” 165lbs coming out of high school. He left weighing 210.

I just hope he hasn't lost any speed and elusiveness by gaining 25 lbs.
He can still be elusive but not as elusive as he was at 185. The thing about his elusiveness is it seemed he successfully eluded solid contact.
Let's hope he hasn't lost that ability.

Daniels weighed 185 when he arrived at LSU last year. Now he's up to over 210.
Was he really at 200 pounds by the Florida State game last season or is there still a lot of rounding up on official roster and depth chart releases?

JD will have a hell of a year
He pretty much had that last year, considering he accounted for 3800 yds, 28 TDs, a passing percentage of almost 70, three interceptions, and lead LSU to not only a win over Bama, but the SEC West title. Most people would consider that pretty fine effort considering where LSU came from after the 20 and 21 seasons.

It’s not a physical issue with him, as much as it is an overthinking issue.
Not so sure about that, Daniels doesn’t seem like much of a thinker
Daniels' big issue was overthinking on passes.
He'd drop back and:
There's my primary. Wait, will he catch it? (Boutte)
I can run right now and get 10 yds, is the safety there to break it up?
Maybe there's another guy more open over there...
then he'd pass or run.
When he dropped back and threw in rhythm, without double-checking everything to avoid a negative play, he was very good.
And note, I said DOUBLE-check. When he played fast (like on late drives), made passes on time, and took off when it looked covered early (instead of scanning for 3-4 other targets), he'd rip down the field. 15-20 yd scrambles and plenty of good passes.

I can’t believe I have to explain this but , would you rather him weigh 185 or what he does now? There is no option where you can choose to gain the ability to read Defenses or anything else by eating food.
Your options are gain weight , stay the same , or lose weight

No doubt.
Remember when Joe B was predicting 45 points a game, prior to the 2019 season, and few believed him.
What is your point prediction for Daniels' second LSU season?
Posted on 4/21/23 at 4:22 pm to Tigerpride18
I’d rather he understand the game better to make better reads and, thereby, better decisions, but whatever.
