His head was still down while getting in the box and the pitcher had already started his windup. Should have been waved off as a no-pitch or a ball (not sure exact rules) but they let it go.

I think Jones was also still pissed from his previous AB where the ump rung him up on a pitch outside the zone. So he was extra annoyed by the pitcher not giving him anytime to get ready. Thankfully the ump granted him his timeout request.
