I’ve missed a lot on this board today. What are you referring to here? Any examples?
You bet. In this particular instance, and this is a biggie, countless instances pretty much every day, and not often straying from common wording, is the idea that the “Trump cultists” are simply parrot exactly what Trump’s on at the time, and furthermore often change their change in their “parroting” if Trump tells them to. I mean, it’s so blatantly over the top that of course it’s an untrue claim, evidenced by the extreme level of exaggeration.
“Cultists only following orders of their leader.” Of course common sense dictates that there is obviously crossover in views and opinions on a variety of topics, as such is the nature of supporting a political figure whose “job” it is to compose and implement same. But that’s taken and bastardized to a cartoonish extent **as is conjured in the minds of the accusers”.
**And I know I took the scenic route in answering your question, but I guess I’m trying to lay it out completely and carefully, so as to ensure the message goes through clear. Then we know there’s no excuse that one hasn’t been made aware of the idea.

I’m with ya. Honestly, I can’t recall any instances of the kind of straight up “waiting to receive further instruction from Trump” as is boldly claimed. I’ve mostly just seen folks conveying their own thoughts and viewpoints, even with those who have more extensively detailed ones (such as yourself) putting together their own original assertions. Granted, there are a wide array of them on a wide array of topics, and not all Trump supporters agree with each others’ personal opinions, but that’s just further demonstration of how asinine the repetitive claims of “just taking orders” are.

Well, this platform fosters hyperbole, and there are some really good practitioners around here. I don't agree that one side is worse (or better depending how you look at it) than the other.
As for parroting Trump/his campaign, isn't this true, at least to a substantial degree? A lot of what's posted in these Ron -v- Don threads from the DT side are tweets, walls of texts (over and over) and links to DT/his team - right?
DT says DeSantis is trying to roll grandma off the cliff, and, well, TD's Team Trump starts eleventy threads the next two weeks "parroting" this.
I think the "cult" part is more about how detached from reality some of the only-Trumpers are. They will post: 1+1=3, and the thread fills up with all sorts of dissertations and proof that 1+1 actually equals 2, and this doesn't keep the only-Trumper from posting 1+1=3 the very next day, the day after that, and every day until 2+2=5 is the new mantra. Point being, it's more "religion" than it's logic.

Pushaw isn't happening. You need to quit trying to make it happen.

I try not to exaggerate and I try to do as you did and specify that it’s some Trump voters who’ve gone off the deep end. And yes, people use hyperbole here.
But the idea that people aren’t keying off of what Trump says is laughable. Anybody who’s been a regular here saw the overnight transformation from “BDR” (a horrible nickname btw) to Globohomo DeSoros, and we’re supposed to believe it’s a total coincidence that it just happened to coincide with Trump starting his public attacks and asinine nicknames? That just doesn’t deserve a serious consideration. Just because some people exaggerate and use hyperbole doesn’t mean there’s zero truth to what they’re saying.

Keying off Trump in what way? As I mentioned earlier, of course the opinions and viewpoints of Trump supporters are going to resemble those of Trump himself, that’s obvious and to be expected, but beyond that expected scenario, what goes beyond that to be considered keying??
And as for the “only some” part, that’s certainly a rational assertion, no doubt, but doesn’t every group have their more extreme outliers? Literally every group. Trump supporters no more so than any other. Those outliers should no more be used as the identity of the group than any other. That is, unless one has an ulterior motive or intent to form a certain picture of a particular group. And no that’s not to cast any aspersions in your direction at all.

Killin babies to get pwn Desantis
That's certainly the takeaway regarding the most pro-life administration in the last 50 years.
Dumbass.

Imagine still thinking people opinions affects elections.

Desantis is not going to make it to the General. He likely will not even enter the race.
Posted on 4/14/23 at 4:52 am to TigerAttorney
So winning the presidency is priority over a babies life?
Posted on 4/14/23 at 5:27 am to Northwestern tiger
I guess my thing is when the media goes really hard on Desantis being a nazi, will the people who didnt vote trump because of all that now vote desantis?

I can point to an easy one. Ron Desantis is the one who shut down florida, not Trump. But the other crowed goes 2+2+=5.

What’s Trump’s stance on abortion?
It depends on which Trump you ask. In 2016, putting anti-abortion Justices onto the Supreme Court was a central part of his platform. In 2022, he blamed those same Justices that he appointed to the Supreme Court for ruining the GOP's chances in the mid-terms.

?? No. Trump just didn't get in the way of newsome going after Trump's most likely opponent in the first round of the playoffs? Would you want your team to stop some other team from beating up on the team that you will likely face in the first round of the playoffs? I certainly wouldn't.

Trump had a good relationship with some of our foreign enemies. North Korea wouldn’t be shooting rockets right now if Trump were still the President. There would be no war in Ukraine right now if Trump were President.
But just stick with your theory.

Trump didn't do shite......Roe was 50 years in the making....he appointed a couple of conservative judges but Mitch did that....any Republican President would have signed off.
Then when the backlash came Trump tried to distance himself from Roe
