It is not the strictest abortion ban. Several states have a complete ban with no exceptions

Absolutely, but that opinion puts you at odds with 90% of the DeSantites on this board.
Trump's comments are spot on from an electoral standpoint. And I accept that the vast majority of voters favor "exceptions" that will have to be accepted by myself and other strict pro-lifers if we are to continue making electoral gains to further the pro-life cause, at large, across the country.

Florida media called him DeathSantis over covid. Or you can do a web search for "white supremacy DeSantis" and see what they've been saying about him for years. It didn't work.
Despite the frequently savaged straw man, nobody thinks the press won't go after DeSantis, but his demeanor just makes it harder to stick. Trump says things, sometimes deliberately, sometimes off the cuff, that makes it easier for the media to paint him a certain way.
