Four Chicago WalMarts close

How the hell does WalMart stores in a major metropolitan area not make a profit and lose money? A WalMart with a health center and a job training center. Sounds like they screwed the pooch. LINK

Mayor Bettlejuice made the usual lib talking points about this action will cause food deserts.
Not a word about her do nothing government standing back and letting her constituents take reparations.
The losses had to be huge for Walmart to shut down these stores.
Went into my local Home Depot yesterday to buy some line for my weedeater. Noticed that the weedeaters were inside of a caged area.
Seeing that really hit home how retailers are getting looted on a regular basis by the parasites that are allowed to freely roam this country
Not a word about her do nothing government standing back and letting her constituents take reparations.

And Mayor Beetlejuice did the usual Lib action of issuing threats to WM, Whole Foods, Aldi (WF and Aldi are pulling out of Southside Chicagostan too.) Nothing quite like threats to encourage business/industry to come to, or remain in, a locale. I.e.: "come here or else!" In this case, else what? Lose more $millions and prevent shareholders from a ROI that they should have, or, retain the money other locations earned . Tough choice!

It's hard to imply this when one of the WalMart stores closing has a Health Center and Community job Training center. I read another article stating the company has poured tens of millions of dollars into those stores to benefit the communities. And this is the end result. Cannot fix the mentally infirmed.

not sure if it applies in this case, but at least in the past there was a fair bit of anti-walmart sentiment up in that area of the country due to the fact that they were non-union.

How does such a pretentious ity like Chicago have that many WalMarts to close? If you spent any amount of time reading about walmart on tOT, it's a wonder they are even in business at all. Because every poster here claims to not stepped inside of WalMart in 20 years.
