If you have some time to blow go check out the AB twitter. They posted this on 31 Mar (one of last tweets) and the replies are pure gold:

@AnheuserBusch

No.

Yes. Went mudding on trails with side by sides with friends and one of the women was drinking Michelib Ultra. Everyone in the group was giving her so much shite.

Nonetheless, you'd be amazed at how many people switched to Ultra thinking they were boycotting. It happened all night last Thursday in my place. Someone making a comment along the lines of not drinking the tranny bear all while handing AB their money by drinking an ultra. Americans can be dumb

And that’s why AB isn’t worried. “Americans can be dumb” is an understatement. I haven’t drunk Bud Light in decades, but I have drunk Natty. No more, nor any other AB/InBev product. They may suffer, they may not, but it’s the principle of the thing for me before you say I’m wasting my time.

I can’t, either.

In modern usage guides, drank is the past tense of drink, as in "I drank a lot last night," and drunk is the past participle (following "have"), as in "Yes, I have drunk wine before." Throughout history, however, these words have been confused and used in their opposite contexts, perhaps because of the association ...

That tells you a lot about young women, because this dude is clearly mocking real women for monetary gain.

Baws in my sphere aren't happy about this. My close friend has a kegerator with BL and has consumed BL for 30 years. Around these parts, calling someone a fig or worse, tranny, are fightin' words

I drank an Ultra on Easter. Holy shite that’s terrible beer. Like even compared to the other shitty American light beers, just awful.

If you look at any reasonable data(iri and Nielsen) bud light has been losing for many years. Throw in the family brand(seltzer, platinum, lime etc…) and they’re probably losing less but bud light flag ship has been losing for a while. Meanwhile ultra is carrying ABI.

I don't know.

I think this may enter the zeitgeist and become a thing in certain demos that people avoid.

You may see certain market shifts over time.

I can remember several instances where me and my buddies in college wrote off a product due to circumstances...never to be bought again.

I thought it was family-owned. I recall the owner getting shite for endorsing Trump in 2016.
