Bud Light tastes like cat piss. Miller and Coors are at least tolerable

This. I haven’t had one since I was 19. I don’t know anyone that drinks bud light. My brother is a big bud heavy guy. They probably had the best marketing out of the three but I guess that’s changed.

There will be several distributors in the south and fly-over states that can give you an answer by looking at their load sheets for their trucks this week.

Stock isn't always tied to a company's performance or even projected performance.

Sometimes it's just "Will people but this shite"? And if the answer is yes the price goes up.

Greater fool theory in action.

Then check revenues and profits. Like the NFL, Disney, Nike, Coca-Cola, and a long, long list of other "woke" companies that conservatives boycott, they tend to do the opposite of "go broke". Triggering the right looks to be very good for business.

Greater fools indeed.

1st quarter ended Mar 31 and don’t reflect this blunder, that will really show up at end of Jun.

This boycott has more leg than other ones. Reason being is its easy to buy Yuengling in the display or tell the bartender Yuengling. Most boycotts require big changes like not shopping at a store which means harder work finding an alternate store to get all your stuff. Maybe its further away or has less offerengs. Or to change service providers or learn a new program. A lot of boycotts require huge disruptions to normalcy.

This beer is so easy for people to change. And drinkers will educate other bud drinkers. And guys will make fun of bud drinkers not changing. Guys who drink beer do not want to associated with supporting a Tranny

It took decades for BL to get to top. Wnen you ruin decades of branding for the top drink, there will be a ripple. InBev is too big to go under, no one is saying that. But they will lose market share. And maybe even the number 1 drink. That is huge in advertising world. Look how Ford uses best seller for F-150. If Bud loses BL as best seller its a massive hit to earnings. Earnings are a trailing indicator. But route drivers will know and see the drip quickly.

I was a BL drinker. Now a Yuengling one. Had never tried Yuengling, had no reason to just stick with my staple BL. But I’ll be damned if the Yuengling doesn’t taste better. I have no reason to ever go back as cost isn’t an issue I was just a creatire of habit. But now that I try Yuengling its my new drink. I like it.

Bud provided me a reason to try something else. Before this fiasco their ads were always funny and I liked that. But going tranny was not the way to go and I will forever associate Bud or BL as a Tranny beer. No fixing that.

There will come a day in the not so distant future where you look down and you’re drinking a Bud Light again

You’ll never admit it or make a fuss about it, but it will happen, and this “outrage” will be lost in the shuffle of a dozen other synthetic moral stands that come and go.

I think one day there will be a tipping point with all this shite. Not sure which way it’ll go though.

This board skews older and heavily conservative so there’s not much insight to be gained here.

You don’t know me and are wrong. BL is dead to me. You didn’t read my full post either, about how easy this change is ti make compared to other boycotts. It is not similar to others, for many reasons. This is an easy change to make.

But you go ahead and keep drinking that Tranny fluid no one is stopping you.

I just don’t think there’s a critical mass of people who will stop buying bud light because of this. You have to a.) buy bud light b.) be very online to even know about this c.) have a strong enough negative opinion about this person being spokesman for bud light in order to stop buying it.

I think it’s a pretty benign or net positive move for a brand like bud light- you get the ESG bonus but take little hit if any on the sales. 95% of what differentiates bud light as a brand is that it’s cheap and easy to drink. 5% is everything else including whatever TikTok person is shilling it.

The fact that a brand like bud light is doing this is because the price of doing it does not yet exceed the cost. Or maybe it does? Doubt we will ever have any solid data on it either way. Eat Arbys.

I went to my local pub on Friday night, have been going there years. I switched to Yuengling earlier in week on Mon and told bartender that was now my staple (they always just served me BL without asking normally). Friday I asked the manager how her sales were doimg for BL amd she said saleswere down over 80%. She also said she’s had to get special deliveries for extra Yuengling every day. One thing she also told me is simce BL is cheaper her margins are lower and she makes more money selling Yuengling than BL. So she was happy about it. All my friends who drank BL cnanged to mostly Yuengling or a few to other beers like Miller. Thats one pub and a small sample size but I think its a fair idea of whats goimg on.

Like I said this is the easiest change to make. And too boot I learned my habit of BL kept me from trying other beers and that Yuengling is a great beer. I have zero reason to ever go back. Better beer is better beer.
