This one should be easy for this board. I searched and the engine keeps giving me an error. So here I am

Heading to Atlanta for a music festival at the beginning of May. Looking for 1-2 moderately fine dining experience. Or restaurants with known chefs. Won’t have time for more than that, but want to hit as many as we can.

Feel free to add any suggestions that you may think I should know about as well. Open to all suggestions as long as it’s not a national chain.

Staying on Peachtree downtown.

TIA

Enjoy the homeless people. The Atlanta food scene is very overrated.

The wife and I are big fans of The Consulate in midtown, they have a rotating international menu that changes once per quarter, as well as a set menu. You'll definitely need a reservation for basically anywhere you decide to go in Atlanta.

Miller Union over by GA Tech in Midtown.

Chef is my HS classmate. Steven Satterfield is a multi- Beard Award winner.

Good suggestion. I have a work dinner there tomorrow night. Been a few times and it's fantastic.

Kimball House or Deer and the Dove in Decatur. Deer and the Dove is up for a Beard award this year. 246 is good Italian there too.

Lyla Lila in Midtown right by the Fox is damn good.

Sotto Sotto, Beetlecat, Delbar, MF Sushi in Inman Park.

for the best restaurants you'll need to venture away from downtown IMO.

I'm going to make a few recommendations of places disregarding their location as I think they would be worth driving the rental car or getting an uber for.

Local Three
Little Alley Steakhouse
Agave
Desta Ethiopian Kitchen

These aren't fine dining by any means but are 4 I'd recommend to anyone. Little is the steakhouse I like going to although there are a lot of really good ones and everyone will have their preference there even though most experiences will likely be very similar.

Had a fantastic meal at Gunshow many years back. Dim sum format but really good food.

Holeman & Finch and 5 & 10 also very good.

Fox brothers and Foxeria del Sol also very good on casual side, as well as Antica Pizza.

I’ve never been as disappointed in my life as I was when I walked up to the counter at the Varsity and witnessed them make my food.

How the frick does that place get away with it?

If you’re a breakfast/brunch person, Atlanta Breakfast Club across from the aquarium.
