They had a personal falling out that both have acknowledged, the genesis behind the falling out is disputed by the two.

She also didn’t let her come out as gay when she was playing at Baylor, supposedly. I’m sure that was Kim’s personal policy and Baylor had nothing to do with that.

Griner asked Mulkey if she could come out as gay while at Baylor and Mulkey urged her not too.
someone at ESPN profiled Griner years later and i think Kim was mad it came out in public. Kim tried to get the ESPN reporter fired afterward.

Im sure you have that backwards. Baylor is a religious school and they didnt want it. Kim was trying to protect Griner from scrutiny. Coach Mulkey has openly gay players on the team right now like Ladazhia Williams (who is engaged) and Williams loves the hell outta KM and vice versa.
