1 guy in contention going into the weekend, you must not have expected much.

Raining like hell here in the foothills of NW Georgia (Dallas). They have a couple of hours tops to get as much in as they can before this big shield over us here gets over to E.Georgia/Augusta.

Cool

If you arent -6 or better you arent in contention

You used “being in contention” as the condition

They haven’t been playing in competitive events and their last one was at a straight Muni. It can be hard to ramp it up all of a sudden for a major. But as evidenced by Phil, Freddie Couples, Tiger, etc. course history matters more than almost anything else at Augusta.

Cam Smith was pretty open about it impacting him this off-season, but there are some other guys who need to play well this week for OWGR and exemption purposes so I’m sure a bunch of guys have been grinding. Fwiw, I did say last week that the LIV players’ odds were disproportionally high so I did take a couple flyers on top 20 plays for people like Ancer and Gooch.

My guess would be the passes are for the day, and not the completion of the round. This wouldn’t be the first time a round didn’t finish. Seems impossible to clear course and let Saturday patrons in.

Looks like it might be a 2 man fight between two seriously great players.

I'm pulling for Bruce. If forced to bet, Rahm would be my pick.

So the leaders won't be in the "featured" groups? gonna have 2 hours of them on the course with no coverage?

Cantlay and Xander off to hot starts. I wonder how long the weather’s going to hold off for.

I get having Tiger in a featured group while the leaders are on TV, but until they’re on TV you gotta have the leaders in a featured group.

Late groups are at another huge disadvantage for round 3 . A massive rainstorm is headed for Augusta

I want Spieth to make a run, and he starts of with a bogey. Nice

Only an hour and a half difference though between first group and last group so shouldn't make too much of a difference.
