Spring 1981. First serious girlfriend. “Just Between You and Me” was “our song”.
Summer 1981…found out the hard way it wasn’t just between her and me

My parents used to party with them in Canada. Good band.

Three lead guitarists, killer bassist, and a criminally underrated singer. All around solid band!

Never understood why they weren't played more or why their songs don't pop up now. I guess I need to request one to get them going on my app.

Ricky: Play I Like To Rock
Alex Lifeson: That’s April Wine.
Ricky: Then play that Diane Sawyer song or something.

That back drop looks a shitload like the Rush - Tom Sawyer video.

I had a T-Top Cutlass with raised white letter tires and would blasts this back in the 80's.
My cousin was a car audio guy and had me rocking with those big egg shaped speakers and a pioneer system
Not A Care In The World

Saw this thread a little while back and meant to reply but shortly thereafter I got my travel notice for work and got on the road.

Nature Of The Beast tour
Riverside Centroplex
My first pretty hard rock concert. 15-year-old me absolutely loved being down on that floor, looking up at the stage with all that anticipation, and then rocking out with those Canucks. That had to be their peak of popularity. I know there are a few other MB posters who were there because I’ve posted about it before. I think maybe tigermeat was there?
Nature Of The Beast was about their third release in a row of the more polished big rock sound. The thing about April Wine that a lot of people may not realize is that way back in the early to mid-70’s they had some great music as well. Their earlier stuff sounds just like most early to mid-70s rock did. They put out some great stuff back then.
A few examples…
Drop Your Guns
You Could Have Been a Lady (Cover)

CRASH AND BURN
Every time I hear this I think of summer of 1982 and me and my old high school buddy cruising through town in his 77 Z28.
