I think there's little reason to question that Trump is the only potential opposition candidate that truly concerns the Groomers and their D.C. LWO Uniparty partners.

Echo chamber.... I rarely agree with you on anything, but the level of delusion by the cult of Trump is remarkable.

I guess Trump will surrender, which makes his promise to ignore extradition moot, but I was looking forward to how he handled the situation when New York returned the favor by ignoring future Florida extradition requests.

This might hurt Ron in the primary, although I think there is a very reasonable chance this conventional wisdom turns out to be wrong. The Trump core is just really small overall and contracting all the time.

I always thought that at some point his supporters would finally say that regardless of his guilty or innocent he's got too much baggage and they'd move on. He has a core group of dead enders, though
Personally, I think he's a bit like a soap opera or my crazy arse stripper/truck driver sister: always some shite swirling around them.

I think he's banking on restoring the 2016 magic from this.
I think the majority of R leaning people (and a lot of other reasonable folks) will sort of go "haha wow what a load of BS", but they're not going to start going to rallies or even necessarily committing to vote for Trump in a primary/general. Trump proves people wrong all the time - myself included - but I continue to think he's declining as a force and hasn't adapted to some other strength.
Honestly, the DeSantis statement in response to the indictment is more forceful than Trump's meandering, self-aggrandizing response to it.

It also further kills Trump general election chances.
It’s only strengthens him amongst his base.

The truth is that even if Trump were disqualified from running they would refrain from voting for Ron out of spite. They’re not principled people.
They’ll repeatedly claim that DeSantis is a part of the uniparty, propped up by Soros, etc with no proof before they ever support him and it’ll be the death of any attempt to conserve our nation.

any of that would be a sign of weakness\giving in to the mob. trump hasn't, and he's shown recently he's on the only one willing to go toe to toe with the establishment, and no matter what they accuse him of, it always comes back empty.
so why would we give up on the only one willing to fight, that they are obviously extremely terrified of?

Because Paul Ryan and Murdoch say to

Pretty crazy that anytime something happens it kills desantis chances. Id say that the debate is where this will be won or lost.

you're one of the softest people on this board, so i really don't expect you to understand your esquire'ness. but if RINO's are the ones winning, we're really just losing you dumbass.

But I agree that this stupid indictment will win the next election for him. He will probably perp walk in handcuffs just to martyr himself and rally the base.
I voted for him 3 times (didn't vote in the 2020 primary) and will again, but I don't get this sentiment. His base is rock solid and his haters are gonna hate; which voters does the indictment win over?

I fricking loathe the DeSantis v Trump threads, I think all the territorializing in-fighting is more self-defeating for conservatism than anything the Progs have done.
With that qualifier out of the way, I agree with the thread title. Their going after Trump (and let's be honest, it's only because he beat Hillary in 2016 and dared to actually try to follow through on his campaign promises - many of which run contrary to what many in DC actually want) is going to galvanize support for him. When this is all shown to be a shallowly-predicated farce, it's going to double down on that galvanization.

Where do you come up with these dumb takes? This will rally people to trump. They made him a martyr. You are as dumb as they come on this board.
