but at some point I think we need to address mental health and gun access.
Hello Mr Jones, it appears you voted for Donald Trump not once, but twice. No you cannot have this gun. Good day and vote better next time

Well since marijuana makes people violent maybe it’s for the best. Law enforcement across the country knows this, this is why they oppose legalization.
I fail to see why this impacts our 2nd amendment right. Unless, you’re a stupid fricking moron.
ETA: Which, the OT is full of stupid fricking morons.
ETA2: The OT almost rivals DU for stupid fricking morons.

Yeah, that is a slippery slope. I'm don't inhale marijuaners, so I guess it's just not that important to me.
Gametime.

For example, a recent ruling in Oregon allowed medical marijuana gun owners to receive a concealed carry license.
What about legal states? I also thought Oregon was a legal state. Do I need a card to buy it in Colorado? I thought medical and being legal on a state level were two different things. Either way it’s just another way for the federal government to interfere in a state’s right issue where they have no business interfering, a recent Supreme Court decision made that pretty clear.

Well, considering the form 4473 asks if you are an illegal user of marijuana and marijuana IS illegal (federally) that makes sense.

There are plenty of laws that do the same.
Mail fraud, murder, money laundering, etc… its treated the same under the 4473
Again, I’m not saying it’s right. I personally believe the threshold of stripping someone’s constitutional rights should be extremely hard to do and reserved for violent crimes.

That's why I buy all mine illegally.
The guns, that is.
I go out on the lake with a metal detector and find all the guns lost by other boaters.

Twisted up a nice joint a few hours ago. Will fire it up when the grandkids leave.

I can’t think of any other medicine a doctor advises you to smoke
Smoke in your lungs is never good. There are healthier ways to get you your meds.

The easily solution to avoid the infringement is to push for our legislators in DC to move THC from Schedule 1 and decriminalize federally.
It's something that would be supported across the political spectrum in almost every state.

That’s why I give my neighbor, medical card holder for state of Florida, 200$ every month.
There’s always a work around.

In this thread supposed second amendment supporters show their support is paper thin. No wonder we grow less free with each passing year.

“shall not be infringed”
This is a lazy argument unless you don't believe the GCA should be able to prevent felons from owning firearms.
There are plenty of people I do not think should be able to own firearms but the problem is agreeing on those criteria and the administration of them.

If you don’t keep the card in your holster, the gun will fit.

What about alcohol? I spent plenty of nights with plastered adults at hunting camps full of whiskey and guns. Bit if a double standard.

The marijuana question is on the 4473. Medical or otherwise you can’t legally purchase a firearm from a FFL if you are a user of marijuana even if it’s legal in your state. It’s a federal thing.

I don’t understand the obsession with weed.
