Is there any chance that the USA will still be a hegemonic power in 2100?

In general the list of reasons why it won’t be are a lot longer than the list of reasons why it will still be

I hope so. You could draw parallels throughout history to support “yes” or “no”, but I’d like to reference Newton’s Third Law here and see a correction(hopefully not over) to our current social and political trajectory.

Almost certainly no longer around. Our debt is going to destroy our government at some point.

Fortunately neither will anyone else.

Given the history of the world and the state that we are currently in, no way. Our empire has fallen.

Would you even call it hegemonic now? We do have to currently share at least SOME of the burden.

But yes, the USA is likely to be even more dominant in 2100. China will be greatly weakened (terrible demographic problem and lack of resources).

Turn off the TV and get some fresh air with your daughter. Of all the things for you to worry about, you pick some stratospheric thing like this? Pay more attention to local affairs and your own actions.

It will certainly be the most diverse and equitable and inclusive and frankly that’s all that matters anymore

So she'll be 73 in 2100 and you're worried about her livelihood?

It's all performative. Men, who used to work and ignore shite like this, have turned into attention-seeking divas afraid of their own shadows.
