Staying in Duck, NC (Outer banks) end of April. Age 28, wife 27 and we have a year and half old baby boy. Traveling with in laws.

What are some must do's? We will be there for a full week. Thanks,

Wright Bros. Memorial is pretty cool. Hatteras light. If you are in Duck, look into one of the 4x4 wild horse tours.

Really just enjoy the beach and the solitude, especially with an 18 month old.

When we were there summer of '14 we took the ferry over to Ocracoke, but it wasn't really worth it IMO. Unless you are staying out there it is a pain to find a place to park, and the island is really built more for walking/biking.

Someone else asked about the OBX recently. This is the link to the travel board post.

We go to the outer banks when we want nothing to do but that's just us. Plenty of great places to eat.

We are going on our first OBX family vacation this summer. We are going to Bald Head Island, which is the southernmost Outer Banks island.

There is a Jeep tour that takes you to see the feral horses. It’s a fun time.

There’s a fun winery out there. Think it’s called Native Vine. Has the oldest grape vine in North America.

I think there was a good German pub called the Weeping Radish near there as well.

The only thing you "must do" is buy an OBX sticker and slap it on your back window next to your Salt Life sticker.
