Amazon owns Freevee. It’s just ad supported Prime.

I loved this show. We watched it in one weekend. Marsden needs his own show ASAP.

I’d also recommend “Sprung” if people are new to Freevee. That is show about convicts released early during start of Covid shutdowns.

Finally got around to this. On episode 6.

Ron is a freaking saint. I have a coworker that genuinely acts like some of those characters. I honestly feel like I’m on candied camera around him. Today I walked into my boss’ office and screamed WTF is he doing still being employed (and didn’t get in trouble.) and it genuinely reminded me of these people. Him doing that without stopping production is amazing.

My biggest laughs were “I’m going to go rub one out,” Mardsen drawing Jaquis naked, and Mardsen’s shite. And then Mardsen asking what level of bouncing Noah needed.

Mardsen is amazing for going into this. I know he’s not A Lister but he sold an a-hole version of himself.

ETA: I would have known something was up when I saw Kirk Fox. Couldn’t have named him but I knew he was in Parks and Rec and B99.

That was hilarious. And then after he got injured like every single person had a touching moment with him and commented on how sweet he was but Ron just sat there and didn’t say anything. You could tell on his face all he was thinking about was the guy saying I’m going to rub one out

This was a fantastic show. He was such a genuinely good dude.

That one really got me too, because it's an all-or-nothing, almost dangerous take.

Some of this was so outlandish (and really well done), I wonder if they shot certain scenes without the mark being present, just for comedic effect?

Like it's clear they setup the bits with him around, but a lot of the punchlines were delivered with only the actors on camera.

Pretty smart that they rehearsed the off-site scene while he was being tested. They could've similarly shot a gag or two there while he wasn't around, so it wasn't so obvious.

Same — he was married to Clint Eastwood's daughter.

I assume they had a contingency plan if he or anyone else was recognized.

Finally watched this and I really liked the show. Ron gives me hope for America. There are still good people out there. I thought it was awesome that the cast and crew genuinely fell in love with the guy.

I, too, recognized the plumber. Cover would have been blown.

Love this damn! Love that it’s starting to catch on with folks

As mentioned, Marsden is so good at this. I also loved the dorky kid with the gf and then the trashy girl who wants to sleep with him storyline. Watching it go from her pursuing him to him then swooning all over her and waiting to see whatever she does to mimick it back, hilarious

Interesting to see who everyone recognized in this thread.

The two I knew were Sewage Joe from Parks and Rec and the dorky guy whose girlfriend was cheating on him. He is a stand-up comedian named Mekki Leeper who has some good material, including how he had to stop watching Temple basketball games after his irl ex started dating one of the stars of the team.

Looks like Sewage Joe was the biggest name besides Marsden, and that was a big risk since he was supposed to be a random guy.

I didn’t recognize anyone else from the show.

Very interesting that the judge and the lawyers were all actually lawyers (or ex-lawyers) IRL.

Ronald really is the nicest guy in the world.

What’s funny is that I recognized “Sewage Joe” as the audio guy from Forgetting Sarah Marshall when Jason Segel slashes the screen with the stand.
