It’s good form for Presidents and governors to be visible during times like this in order to limit criticism like that in your OP, but it’s meaningless most of the time. The agencies who respond to these things are going to do the same stuff whether the Governor is there or not.

Difficult to imagine any rational, thinking individual would look to California in its modern condition and think this is the blueprint America needs.
That said, there’s a healthy portion of this nation who don’t appear to exercise rational thought. Look at the present occupant in the White House for example 1A.

Gavin doesn't care about San Bernardino County, he lost that county by 5 points during his re-election.
I also wonder if this slow roll of assistance is payback for voting to look into seceding from the nutty state. Last Nov, 2.2 million voters in San Bernardino County voted to direct their local officials to study the possibility. Orange County is another one that is looking into seceding.

Newsom might be vacationing in Montana again. He disappeared last year and it took several days for his office to admit he was in Montana. Why is that something Meesom would rather hide than disclose?

Just up the road from the me walls of snow are in excess of 12ft high along the road. It’s crazy how much snow is in the mountains right now. In fact the place that we go and play at during summer has between between 476” - 594” for the season. It’s stunning. We still have more storms in the forecast. Drought? What drought?
