Life has no purpose. If you were born 200 years ago you probably would’ve never left the place you were born. Those people were way happier than us. “Purpose” and “fate” and shite like that were invented by the same people that tricked us into buying diamonds.

What if you were like I’m gonna save the world and make a bunch of ugly plastic cars that you have to plug into the wall to charge

That would be way more cringe than just being a slacker nihilist

Humans have always had a sense of purpose, but it’s not until recently that we asked the question. For most of history, it was innate, we woke up did our chores, our daily task that may look like work today, but it wasn’t work, it was life. It was our lives purpose. We identified as a tribe member, or the son of___. Now we describe ourselves with unique characteristics. We traded interdependence and belonging for consumerism and radical individualism.

Wow. Deep question.does my life have purpose?? Yes I n believe it does. I’ve had a few times that I survived death. I believe there is a way higher power that has not taken me yet because he’s not ready for me. I still have things to accomplish. I used to not give a shite about anything but myself. But since I’ve quit drinking and have a solid head on my shoulders, I’ve realized how great life can be and at the same time being pissed at myself
For wasting so many years being an a-hole. My purpose in life is to give, be kind, love, try not to judge, and ignore hate by others.

Man's chief purpose is to glorify God. Even those chosen for destruction can be used for his glory.

To have a positive impact on people. I actually have a sheet in my office that has 3 people I try and have a positive impact on each day professionally.

Beyond that it’s to leave a legacy on life. My #1 way I do that is through raising my kids to have a positive impact on people. I tell them every day to be a leader today.

Our purpose in life is simply to be useful.

We are immortal beings from a higher vibrational plane of existence who choose to come to this mortal plane so that we can experience an imperfect existence that includes a free will of sorts.

We know beforehand generally what will happen e.g. being born with defects, faults, eventual disease, etc., and choose it. Then we forget this once born into our corporeal bodies.

God is real, and Jesus is real.

The meaning of our life here is to love ourselves, each-other, and God as much as possible despite the suffering we endure while here.

That’s my opinion, as far as I’ve been able to ascertain, anyway.

The only real purpose of life is to love and glorify God. If one does those things, life will be full and meaningful.

Without those things, we are nothing with no hope or purpose.

I recommend reading, “Sapiens”.

There is no purpose. People will flail trying to combat this, but it’s only because they know it’s the truth.

I found my meaning when I met my children and it was confirmed again when I met my grandchildren. Now my purpose is guiding them the best that I can, to prepare them to meet our Heavenly Father. We all are here to become His children.

I agree with this.

The purpose is whatever you're doing right now.

What does it all mean? It means whatever you think it means. It means whatever I think it means. It means nothing and everything all at the same time.

We can't even be sure we exist, much less define a truth about our existence.

The entire question is asinine. Do what you want, don't hurt others. In the blink of an eye, everything you know will be gone without any trace. It's beautiful. Nothing you do matters more than the pain or pleasure from which it's derived.

Just try to feel good without hurting someone else and then shite and die. That's the whole thing as far as I see it.

If there is no God, why not hurt others? Without God there is no good or bad, right or wrong, good or evil. If there is no God, the “universe” couldn’t care less if you shoot your neighbor in the head or rob him blind. Where does the moral compass come from?

There absolutely is a God. He is loving and patient with us, even though many such as yourself turn away from Him. The logic behind those that support doing right by other people, but exclude the God given divine spark that drives that notion is absolutely flawed. I will never understand it.

Love, self-sacrifice, selflessness, etc. are simply not accidental notions. These virtues are bestowed on us by our Creator. We were created in His image.
